How Far in Advance Should I Call a Mover?
I recommend to call us 3-4 weeks before your move date in the summer time. If you call
early enough, you will be guaranteed of the move date that you want. In the slower
season (fall, winter, spring), you can contact your mover 1-2 weeks prior to your move
date and you should still be able to secure your move date.
Are all Upholstered Furniture Shrink-Wrapped!
Yes! For Bob's Movers, it's normal operating procedure to wrap all upholstered furniture
in shrink wrap. This protects the furniture from dirty, sweaty hands and from dust and
dirt. If your mover does not normally use shrink warp to protect upholstered furniture,
then that's a red flag, and you might want to call a professional.
Do you require any deposits or down payments?
No. We expect payment upon completion of your move. I would be very wary of a mover that
requires an up front payment.
What time do your Movers arrive?
We normally arrive at your home between 8:30 and 9:00 AM depending on traffic.
Is there an additional cost to move on the weekends?
No! We do not charge any additional fees for weekend moves. Many customers find a weekend
move date moire oncenient, and we even move families on Sundays. We are available 7 days
per week.
Can I actually reserve my move date online?
Yes! We are one of the first movers to use this advanced technology. As soon as we receive
your online reservation, we will send you an email confirmation. On the next business day,
we will contact you by telephone to review the move details, but the date and time that you
have selected online is yours!
What other services do you offer to make my move easier?
Many of our customers prefer that we do their packing to make the move process that much
easier. In your new home, we are available to help you unpack, to hang your pictures on the
wall, to reconnect your video.audio systems and to remove the packing debris. We will do
everything to make the transition to your new home a smooth one.
